The temporary ceasefire between Hamas and Israel was violated by the terror group and has now ended, but not before 75 Israeli and 24 foreign hostages were released by Hamas. There have been numerous important developments this week, so let’s get right to it.

War continues in Israel. Chaos continues in Congress. All the while, Iran is threatening to get involved in the conflict, and things are heating up on Israel’s northern border. Let’s get into it.

We are deviating from the traditional Action Update in light of the massacre and ensuing war that began this weekend. In today’s missive we will provide an update on the current situation, and what we believe is likely to occur in the coming days. We will follow this Update with additional information during the week, including how you can be directly involved in supporting Israel’s efforts to end Hamas’s existence as we know it.

As we’re sure you’re aware, at the last minute, Congress advanced a stopgap funding measure over the weekend. We take no position on such actions, but we’ll discuss the implications of the vote, as well as one you may not have heard about in the mainstream media, in this week’s edition of the Action Update.

This week, as we commemorate the horrors of 9/11, it is incumbent upon every American to not just mourn that tragedy but also to learn from it. We have all committed to never forgetting the lives lost that day, the bravery of the first responders who answered the call when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked, and the astounding heroism displayed by those ordinary Americans on United Flight 93 who sacrificed their lives to prevent the terrorists hitting their third target: the U.S. Capitol.

We hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend, and while many of us were enjoying time with friends and family, over the past few days there have been a number of developments that merit discussion. So, without any further delay, let’s dive in.

During the first Republican Presidential debate, there was a brief flash of strenuous disagreement between longtime pro-Israel leader Amb. Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, a businessman who recently called for ending all U.S. aid to Israel. To her credit, Amb. Haley was the only candidate on the debate stage who called Ramaswamy out on his anti-Israel position, going so far as to rightly articulate “Israel doesn’t need America, America needs Israel.”
