CUFI Rejects ICJ Opinion Undermining Jewish Claims In The Holy Land

WASHINGTON – On Friday, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released the following statement rejecting the gross overreach and willful blindness to indisputable facts of anti-Israel activist judges at the United Nations’ International Court of Justice (ICJ).

“The Word of God is true, and the Children of Israel are the indigenous people of the Holy Land. Either of these facts on their own should be enough to rally the world to Israel’s cause.

“Tragically, in a world comfortable with Jew-hatred, the concept of alternative facts, and a court led by an anti-Israel judge, we do not expect the international community will see the light of truth anytime soon.

“Neither the UN nor the ICJ has the authority to make pronouncements about Judea and Samaria.”

The ICJ’s advisory opinion, On the legal consequences arising from the policies and practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, can be read here.

ICYMI: Exposing Antisemitism Starts With Rejecting Misinformation On Critical Legislation

ICYMI: Exposing Antisemitism Starts With Rejecting Misinformation On Critical Legislation

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, Religion News Service published an op-ed authored by Christians United for Israel (CUFI) founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee rejecting the misinformation and theological falsehoods being peddled by a small but vocal minority on Capitol Hill seeking to upend critical bipartisan legislation, the Antisemitism Awareness Act, which the U.S. Senate should pass without delay.

CUFI has supported the Antisemitism Awareness Act since 2016 when it passed the Senate by unanimous consent. That year, the FBI reported that anti-Jewish bias motivated 53.3 percent of reported incidents of anti-religious hate crimes. In October 2023, FBI data showed that in 2022, the last year for which data is available, anti-Jewish bias motivated nearly 55 percent of all reported anti-religious hate crimes. An all-time high is widely anticipated to be reached when data is published on reported hate crimes reported in 2023.

Earlier this month, Pastor Hagee and Ralph Reed, Chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, penned a letter to Congressional leadership in both the U.S. House and Senate addressing false allegations surrounding the Antisemitism Awareness Act. “To the Biblically literate,” they wrote, “claims the Antisemitism Awareness Act is anti-Christian are as insulting as they are injurious.”

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2023 (H.R. 6090) on May 1, 2023, with resounding bipartisan support. In the U.S. Senate, companion legislation enjoys bipartisan support from nearly one-third of the chamber.

WASHINGTONOn Wednesday, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization released the following statement upon the House of Representatives’ advancement of the Antisemitism Awareness Act:

“CUFI has supported this legislation since 2016 and we welcome its passage through the House, especially at a time when colleges are being overtaken by outside, pro-Hamas, antisemitic agitators.

“We are grateful to Speaker Johnson (R-LA), Reps. Lawler (R-NY), Gottheimer (D-NJ), Miller (R-OH), and Moskowitz (D-FL), for their steadfast leadership in support of this measure. CUFI Applauds Senate Passage of Israel Aid

CUFI Applauds Senate Passage of Israel Aid

WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released the following statements welcoming the Senate’s advancement of the national security supplemental.

“This aid package will increase Israel’s ability to defend herself and decrease the likelihood of a wider conflict in the region. We applaud Speaker Johnson for seeing this issue through and are grateful to the Members of Congress, on both sides of the aisle, whose actions in support of this legislation place them firmly on the right side of history and the Word of God,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

The vital Israel aid legislation, which now heads to the President’s desk, was the exclusive focus of an emergency fly-in hosted by CUFI last week, during which 250 ministry and community leaders met with their Representatives to discuss the importance of supporting Israel.

The organization also launched an Action Alert in the days leading up to the House vote which saw 65,000 individuals email Congress in support of the aid.

“Support for Israel, as she battles Iran and its proxies, is non-negotiable. The vast majority of Congress understands that 4/13 changed the world as we know it—and as such we are particularly grateful to those Members of Congress who reconsidered their position and voted in favor of this critical legislation. The bipartisanship exhibited in both chambers over the past ten days should be applauded. If Saudi Arabia and Jordan could set their differences aside to stand with the Jewish state on 4/13 then so can Republicans and Democrats,” said CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.

In addition to the Israel emergency supplemental, the 21st Century Peace Through Strength Act, included several additional CUFI priorities, chief among them the Stop Harboring Iranian Petroleum (SHIP) Act, which was one of the group’s 2023 CUFI Washington Summit legislative agenda items, as well as additional strong sanctions on the Islamic Republic and its proxies.

CUFI Applauds House Passage of Aid to Israel

CUFI Applauds House Passage of Aid to Israel

WASHINGTON – On Saturday, the leadership of Christian United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel, organization released the following statements applauding the House of Representatives for advancing emergency aid to Israel.

“Speaker Johnson’s leadership has never shown more brightly than today. Advancing this security assistance moves us one step closer to ensuring the will of the American people becomes the policy of the United States and Israel has the vital support she needs to defeat our common enemies,” said CUFI founder and chairman Pastor John Hagee.

In advance of Saturday’s vote, CUFI held an emergency meeting in Washington, hosting 250 ministry and community leaders from across the country. During the fly-in, the diverse group of Christian leaders from around the country met with their representatives on Capitol Hill to express support for bipartisan emergency supplemental aid to Israel.

CUFI then, on Thursday, launched an Action Alert asking members of Congress to support both the aid to Israel and the rule that allowed the legislation to come to the floor. Nearly 65,000 Christian Zionists nationwide responded to the alert.

“Some leaders win to govern, others govern to win—what Speaker Johnson has achieved this week proves he is the former. That the Speaker was able to build bipartisan consensus should be applauded, not condemned,” said CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.

“Our message to Congress remains unchanged: Each vote against this aid was a vote against the national security interests of the United States, against our allies, and was no doubt applauded by the world’s tyrants,” Parker added.

In addition to the Israel emergency supplemental, the 21st Century Peace Through Strength Act, included several top CUFI priorities, chief among them the Stop Harboring Iranian Petroleum (SHIP) Act, which was one of the group’s 2023 CUFI Washington Summit legislative agenda items, as well as additional strong sanctions on the Islamic Republic and its proxies.

Hundreds of CUFI Leaders to Demand U.S. House Pass Supplemental Aid Bill Without Further Delays

Hundreds of CUFI Leaders to Demand U.S. House Pass Supplemental Aid Bill Without Further Delays

WASHINGTONThis morning, Christians United for Israel (CUFI)’s emergency fly-in will conclude with 250 ministry and community leaders descending on Capitol Hill to deliver an unambiguous message to Members of Congress that emergency supplemental aid to Israel must pass without any further delay.

CUFI has been unequivocal in its call for Washington to stand by Israel in word and in deed in its hour of need – and unwavering in its determination to make clear that Congressional inaction will lead to more devastation in Israel while continuing to undermine our standing in the world. As CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee said last evening at the opening of a dinner featuring remarks from House Speaker Mike Johnson, Representative Tony Gonzales, and former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Congress needs to “get it done – and get it done now.”

“The only politicians who represent our 10 million member organization are the ones who stand with Israel. If you are not for Israel, we are not for you,” declared Pastor Hagee.

“We need your help. Israel is being abandoned by more and more people – even some in the United States Congress – and that’s a great shame,” said Speaker Johnson. “Weakness is too costly. Strength will ultimately save us and ensure peace. We must not hesitate. We must not waver. We must confront the darkness of terrorism, guided by the light of freedom and our faith in God,” he continued.

“The waiting is over. The time is now. The time is absolutely now to get this security package over the finish line. We need your help,” said Representative Gonzales

CUFI To Host Emergency Fly-In Next Week

CUFI To Host Emergency Fly-In Next Week

Hagee: “Christians across America see what is happening in Congress and we are disgusted with the lack of action.”

WASHINGTON – On Monday, 250 ministry and community leaders will gather in Washington for an emergency fly-in organized by Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization. This is just the third fly-in organized by the group since CUFI’s founding more than 18 years ago.

The gathering will begin with dinner featuring several speakers including Members of Congress, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, and CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee. The following day, the diverse group of Christian leaders from around the country will meet with their representatives on Capitol Hill to express support for the House to advance bipartisan emergency supplemental aid to Israel without delay.

“Christians across America see what is happening in Congress and we are disgusted with the lack of action. It has been six months since Hamas’s brutal invasion of Israel and Congress has yet to advance emergency aid to the Jewish state. Congressional gridlock is harming Israel’s ability to defend itself and emboldening Israel’s adversaries,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

While CUFI has been highly critical of the Biden administration’s increasing pressure on Israel, the organization’s leaders believe the primary impediment to advancing emergency aid to Israel is a small but loud group in the House.

“There is widespread bipartisan support for aid to Israel in the House of Representatives, yet this legislative branch is being held hostage from within, undermining both American and Israeli national security. Our members are compelled by their faith to act on this issue, and act we shall,” said CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.

Due to space limitations, press attendance is invitation-only. However, a live stream of the Monday evening event will be made available by clicking here at 7:30pm EDT.

CUFI Leadership Rejects Biden Demands on Israel

CUFI Leadership Rejects Biden Demands on Israel

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released the following statements in reaction to reports that President Joe Biden held a tense phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during which the President demanded an immediate cease-fire to the war in Gaza.

“President Biden is playing directly into the enemy’s hands by undermining Israel’s effort to defeat Hamas. If the President wishes to help Israelis and Palestinians, he should do everything in his power to hasten the end of Hamas, not ensure their survival. Placing demands on Israel is not the answer to peace in the Middle East, and never has been,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

“This war started after Hamas sent thousands of terrorists into Israel so they could rape and murder innocent Israelis. The 10/7 Massacre will not advance Palestinian interests, and no one associated with that atrocity will escape justice. The sooner both the Biden administration and Congress understand those simple facts and act accordingly, the sooner Israel will defeat Hamas, rescue the hostages, and restore stability to the region,” said CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.

CUFI Leadership Condemns Biden Administration’s UN Abstention

CUFI Leadership Condemns Biden Administration’s UN Abstention

WASHINGTON – On Monday, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released the following statements condemning the Biden administration for failing to veto UN Security Council Resolution 2728.

“Today’s abstention at the UN is an abomination—this is not how one treats an ally, and it is not reflective of the American people’s attitude toward Israel or this war,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

“The Biden administration’s acquiescence to international antisemitism will not prevent Israel from defeating Hamas or bringing her hostages home,” Hagee added.

“Today’s actions at the UN have shown the world, unequivocally, that the Biden administration has left Jerusalem out to dry. The US abstained from a resolution that was so appalling, it was welcomed by Hamas, and Israel felt compelled to recall a top delegation from Washington over the matter—which begs the question: “who is the current American policy helping?” noted CUFI Action funder Chairwoman Sandra Parker.

CUFI Leadership Pans Congressional Inaction on Emergency Supplemental

Parker: “Washington knows that when Ron Dermer sounds an alarm bell, one should heed the warning and act with all deliberate speed”

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released the following statements concerning the continued delay in U.S. emergency support for Israel.

“Despite numerous, passionate speeches supporting Israel on the House floor in the wake of the 10/7 Massacre, it’s astonishing that our elected officials stand idly by as Israeli soldiers die in Gaza. America’s Congressional inaction will lead to more devastation in Israel while continuing to undermine our standing in the world. It is time for our leaders to set aside their own political interests and take the righteous path—not to act is to act,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

Referring to Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer’s recent comment that Israel needed U.S. aid, “yesterday,” CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker noted, “Given his years working in our nation’s capital, Washington knows that when Ron Dermer sounds an alarm bell, one should heed the warning and act with all deliberate speed.”

“Though our patience has worn thin, our position has not changed. We will continue to support a bipartisan legislative vehicle for advancing emergency aid to Israel, and we will continue to oppose any effort to set the terrible precedent of demanding offsets to emergency war funding,” Parker added.
