WASHINGTON – On Monday, the Christians United for Israel (CUFI) Action Fund released a statement expressing support for the Protecting Faith-Based and Nonprofit Organizations from Terrorism Act (S. 1539).

According to the bill’s authors, this legislation would “authorize $75 million annually for FYs 2020-2024 for the Department of Homeland Security’s Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), which provides grants to nonprofits and faith-based organizations to help secure their facilities against a potential terrorist attack.”

“We applaud Senators Rob Portman and Gary Peters for recognizing the need for such legislation and working together in a bipartisan fashion to see it introduced. Houses of worship should know no violence whatsoever. It is heartbreaking that we need to enhance the protection of these most hallowed institutions, but that is the sad reality of the world in which we live. The Islamic Republic is a theocratic dictatorship and the IRGC is the core source of their power. From subjugating the Iranian people to supporting terrorists and rogue regimes, the IRGC is the backbone of Tehran’s tyranny. WASHINGTON – On Thursday, leaders of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, issued a statement welcoming President Trump’s comment that, “… it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights…” The President’s comment comes after a month long CUFI lobbying campaign in support of the position and just one week after the group released a statement backing associated legislation.

“In our meetings with Administration and Capitol Hill officials there’s been a clear understanding of the Golan Heights’ importance to Israel’s security. We are very grateful to the President for having the courage to express that position and look forward to the US formally recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

“When it was under Syrian control, the Golan Heights was used to attack Israeli civilians in the region below. During the Syrian civil war we saw all too well the brutality of the Assad regime, including the willingness of Damascus to use chemical weapons. Recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights is the right policy and the time to enact that policy has come,” Hagee added.

The Syrian regime’s abhorrent brutality during that country’s most recent civil war, and Iran’s cynical usage of the war to increase its military presence in the Arab Republic, make abundantly clear that any effort to trade this land for peace with Damascus would threaten the security of Jerusalem and Israel. SAN ANTONIO – On Friday, the leaders of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, welcomed the decision by the Texas State Comptroller, Glenn Hegar, to list Airbnb as a company prohibited from receiving state contracts and investment under a recently enacted provision that aims to ensure Texas tax dollars are not used to advance the effort to Boycott, Divest from or Sanction (BDS) Israel.

The Comptroller’s action is in response to Airbnb’s anti-Semitic decision to de-list Jewish owned properties, but no others, in the disputed territory known as the West Bank.

“The anti-Semitic BDS movement is trying to achieve through boycotts what terrorists and hostile nations have failed to achieve with bullets: the end of the modern state of Israel. But they will fail, because no matter how much they lie about and demonize the Jewish state, we at CUFI will ensure that conscientious people have the opportunity to learn the truth about the vibrant and democratic nation of Israel,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

“I am extremely proud that my home state of Texas is among those leading the fight to call out Airbnb for its anti-Semitic policy. We are grateful to Comptroller Glenn Hegar, as well as Gov.
